Moerdijk - Europe from own rail terminal

CCT has an own rail terminal with respectively two tracks of 750 metres long and one of 950 metres which extends all the way to the quay. This also allows for direct transhipment between train and inland barge and train and shortsea vessel. At the rail terminal, the combination of a 45-tonne gantry crane with reach stackers guarantees an efficient handling of containers, breakbulk and general cargo.

Direct rail access to Europe

From CCT’s rail terminal, trains have direct access to the national and European railway network. For example, Moerdijk is directly connected with the Betuweroute, the dedicated freight railway line which runs right through the Netherlands in an easterly direction towards Germany. There however are also various southbound and northbound rail transport options from Moerdijk.
