The “bunker adjustment factor” (BAF) is based on the average gas oil price (per 1,000 litres) by the KBN (Koninklijke Binnenvaart Nederland). The BAF is adjusted every month based on gas oil prices as described in applicable contract agreements. CCT charges an “Energy Cost Surcharge” (ECS). The ECS applies to all handling operations to which the BAF does not apply and is carried out by CCT Alpherium and Moerdijk Container Terminals (MCT).
